Nice depth of field here with the eye in sharp focus but the hairs across the eye not. The slightly off centre composition also nicely leads your eye across the image.
However you can see the photographer's reflection in the eye which causes a bit of confusion on the subject. Could I recommend using a little bit of flash to block out the photographers reflection and give the eye a bit of a glint.
Overall this is a great image and the use of black and white to stop the colour of the eye becoming to intrusive is very effective. Well done.
