A swarm of 10,000 honey bees visited PGS yesterday, attracted by the nesting opportunities afforded by one of our more luxurious trees. The nest was collected and taken away today (see below) by a member of the Portsmouth Beekeepers Association www.portsmouthbeekeepers.co.uk:
"The Portsmouth Beekeepers’ Association exists to promote the craft of beekeeping and increase public awareness of bees and their contribution to the ecology around Portsmouth in Hampshire."
