There are not enough hours in the day. It is a phrase that is used frequently and perhaps has a little truth. Did you know that if left alone with no outside influences, human beings will revert to a 25 hour day?
People are becoming increasingly impatient and that impacts a wide range of things with a knock-on effect.People used to spend an average of an hour a day preparing an evening meal. They now spend about 35 minutes. This is possible because they might be getting pre-cooked and processed food. This can be detrimental to health and is also more expensive. You could actually save quite a lot of money by home-cooking.
People have also become too impatient for sleep. Many people see it as a nuisance or an illness that has to be overcome. This is a stark contrast with the way it used to be seen. In Shakespeare’s plays he mentions sleep often and it is always seen as something precious. It is the same as everything we take for granted: you never miss it till it is taken away.About two thirds of the people in the world today are sleep deprived. As a result, they are more prone to illness and don’t perform as well. This can lead to problems with employment, or, if you are younger, bad exam results which then lead to poor job prospects. Sleep can affect your financial standing.
If people just took a little bit more time to sleep more, to eat better, then they would find themselves actually better off then they were when they would complain about not having enough time while wasting it on things that were insignificant. You must learn to use what little you have wisely, as with everything else in life.
