It felt cold on that first day,
And I’ll never forget how,
It was an adventure, an escapade,
Of some sort in the here and now.
I felt the surge of rush and thrill,
Motivated by a simple goal.
And so at last came my first kill,
The wait to collect my first soul,
The time that had finally come to an end.
The wait.
Long and tedious; I could only commend,
Those who survived their otherwise doomed
fate.
Of course it is an honour to
Have served, and go
Surely it is a crime to
Return with the glory of a hero
I will
Loathe those who hold their heads high
Because they think that they are the best,
because they will
Feel no guilt to the misdeeds they did
I
Refuse to accept that what I did was right
But they
Mock us, destroy us inside out
I don’t understand why they think that they
Return on the idea of victory
We all will
Have suffered the biggest loss.
Just as we
Build our pride tall and high,
We know we will fall, and yet we
Cannot give a reason why.
No matter what we do, we
Give up
The truth is that we will never
Move on
The one thing that we can do is
Remember
But
The pain it brings,
It’s not worth
The blood, the dead, the cries and screams
Without
Going, I would never have found out that,
I truly am thankful for
Coming back
Coming back
I truly am thankful for
Going, I would never have found out that,
Without
The blood, the dead, the cries and screams
It’s not worth
The pain it brings,
But
Remember
The one thing that we can do is
Move on
The truth is that we will never
Give up
No matter what we do, we
Cannot give a reason why.
We know we will fall, and yet we
