Floating through time,
Forgotten and adrift,
The broken dreams go.
Crushed and shattered
By the harsh reality.
They resemble the lives of those,
That left them.
Tiny fragments, scattered and
Impossible to piece together,
Like the hearts that once held them.
They lend us some insight,
Into the ideals of a child,
A young woman,
A would be mother.
Precious few remain intact,
Swamped by those that are cracked,
Drowning out the light,
Of the stars that their,
Wishes were made on.
